{"id":19,"date":"2010-03-03T18:04:06","date_gmt":"2010-03-03T18:04:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rangeofvision.com\/?p=19"},"modified":"2010-03-11T13:21:55","modified_gmt":"2010-03-11T13:21:55","slug":"useful-wordpress-plugins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.rangeofvision.com\/index.php\/technology\/useful-wordpress-plugins\/","title":{"rendered":"Useful WordPress Plugins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I find the following plugins useful as a set of default plugins for a WordPress installation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Ultimate GA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oratransplant.nl\/uga\/\" target=\"_blank\">ultimate-google-analytics <\/a>&#8211; requires an analytics account (free) and really is the ultimate SEO plugin;<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Google Sitemaps\" href=\"http:\/\/www.arnebrachhold.de\/projects\/wordpress-plugins\/google-xml-sitemaps-generator\/\" target=\"_blank\">google-sitemap-generator <\/a>&#8211; generates a Google Site map (useful with a Google Webmaster Account);<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"SEO Pack\" href=\"http:\/\/techblissonline.com\/platinum-seo-pack\/\" target=\"_blank\">platinum-seo-pack <\/a>&#8211; Manages Title tags and meta tags along with loads of other SEO tools;<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Revisions\" href=\"http:\/\/dd32.id.au\/wordpress-plugins\/revision-control\/\" target=\"_blank\">revision-control <\/a>&#8211; controls (limits) \u00a0the number f revisions you accumulate;<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"iPhone Theme\" href=\"http:\/\/bravenewcode.com\/products\/wptouch\" target=\"_blank\">WPTouch<\/a> &#8211; Provides an iPhone interface to your blog.<\/li>\n<li>Akismet &#8211; Comes with WordPress\u00a0 &#8211; activate it &#8211; it works and really stops a lot of comment spam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I load all of these by default with WordPress installations.
